Got Eco Bags?
On Friday, October 30, 2015, the Lego Robotics team presented to Goochland Rotary Club. They expressed their concern for the overuse of plastic bags and gave suggestions to reduce that use. They provided car window stickers to help their audience members remember to take their eco friendly bags into the store. I am so proud of these students!
A Few Odds and Ends
Happy Labor Day to All!! I hope that you enjoyed your three day weekend!
Don’t forget, this Thursday is Back to School Night!! We will have a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new playground at 5:30. Kona ice will be here at 6 and the PTA meeting will begin at approximately 6:30.
Please remember that if your child wears a dress or shorts, they need to be at least fingertip length and spaghetti straps are not allowed at school. Also, students play outside or in gym class everyday, so their shoes should have backs on them. As cute as the high heels are, please refrain from allowing your daughters to wear them at school! Tennis shoes are truly the best option.
At GES, students may arrive no earlier than 8:05. This includes safety patrols and chorus students. It is ok for them to arrive in the car line.
iPads will be distributed to 4th and 5th graders on Wednesday and 3rd graders on Thursday. This will be done during the school day.
Thank you so much for making GES a great place for students to learn!!
