At Goochland Elementary, we know that every day counts! Good attendance helps students build strong learning habits, connect with their classmates, and set the foundation for success. To celebrate the importance of being present and on time, we are excited to host Attendance Matters Spirit Week from September 15–19.
Throughout the week, students and staff can join in the fun by dressing up for daily themes that connect to the message that Attendance Matters!
Spirit Week Themes:
Monday – Head for Success
Arrive on time and wear a hat or show off a crazy hairstyle!Tuesday – Team Day
We are a team! Wear your favorite jersey or a GES shirt.Wednesday – Wacky Tacky
There’s nothing tacky about being on time—wear your mismatched clothes.Thursday – Color Day
Good attendance leads to bright futures! Show your spirit in your favorite bright colors.Friday – Roll Out of Bed
Roll out of bed and head to school in your pajamas!
Let’s work together to build the habit of showing up every day. We can’t wait to see all the creative outfits as we celebrate the importance of being present and ready to learn!
