February is a wonderful time to focus on kindness! This month, we are excited to share our River Otter Kindness Challenge Board with families.
The Kindness Challenge includes simple, age-appropriate activities that encourage students to practice kindness at home and in the community. Some examples include writing thank-you or appreciation cards, helping with small household chores, setting or clearing the table, creating cards for someone who may be feeling lonely or sick, and thanking community helpers such as first responders. Students are encouraged to complete three or more acts of kindness during the month of February.
Participation in the Kindness Challenge is completely optional. Our goal is to spread as much kindness as possible during February, with the hope that these small acts grow into lifelong habits that continue well beyond this month.
Even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference. We appreciate your support as we work together to promote empathy, gratitude, and compassion in our school community.
