On Friday evening, April 10th, GCPS will host its annual Fine Arts Festival and All-County Concert, “Woven: The Thread of Fine Arts,” at Goochland High School from 5:00–8:00 PM. This special evening will celebrate the creativity, collaboration, and artistic excellence woven throughout our schools.
The featured performance will begin at 5:30 PM in the GHS Auditorium. Students from across the division will take the stage, including chorus groups from Randolph, Goochland, and Byrd Elementary Schools, Goochland Middle School, and Goochland High School. Audiences will also enjoy performances by the GHS and GMS Bands, GHS Drama, and the GHS Dance Troupe. This All-County Concert is a wonderful opportunity to see the collective talents of our students showcased in one inspiring program.
In addition to the performance, guests are invited to preview a gallery of student artwork displayed in the GHS Gymnasium. The exhibit will feature artwork from Byrd, Goochland, and Randolph Elementary Schools, as well as Goochland Middle and High School students. The festival theme, “Woven: The Thread of Fine Arts,” highlights how the arts connect our students and schools in meaningful and creative ways.
Be sure to stop by the GHS Cafeteria for interactive art activities the whole family can enjoy. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase a delicious bowl of soup served in a unique, handmade ceramic bowl crafted by our talented GHS ceramic art students—a keepsake you can take home and treasure.
