The GES PTA would like to introduce you to Raise Craze - the kindness fundraiser! This year, our fundraiser promotes acts of kindness and will begin on October 6th and conclude on the 1st Lodge day of the year - October 24th! Last Thursday, all of our 5th graders from Goochland, Randolph, and Byrd Elementary Schools came together at Westview on the James for Goochland Outdoors — a day of hands-on learning in nature!
Students had the chance to:
🐝 Learn from one of our very own teachers (and beekeeper!) about the vital role bees play in our ecosystem.
🌳 Hear from True Timber arborists about the importance of trees and vegetation in keeping our environment healthy.
🌱 Work alongside Master Gardeners to explore native and non-native plants and their impact on our ecosystems.
This special day gave our students the chance to connect classroom learning with the natural world around them — sparking curiosity and appreciation for the environment. 🌎✨
